PARTICIPATION

The participation is opened to pupils or students and also to group of pupils or students who are properly enrolled in an education institution for the academic year 2000/2001.

National students abroad should be allowed to compete too.

Webmasters from universities, colleges, teacher training institutions, schools, in general webmasters from educational institutions.

The participation is opened also, to different institutions working in the field of UNESCO activities.








RULES

- The candidates are in the obligation to be properly enrolled in an education institution when they submit their works

- The national students abroad are allowed to compete

- No candidate can submit more than 2 works

- Any editing of the work after having been submitted will end up with disqualification

- The submitted works become RINAF-UNESCO property

- The candidates declare that they are aware and accept the general conditions of the competition

- No participant can take part in more than one competing team

- No member of the jury nor their relatives or any person who has responsibilities in the organization can participate

- In case of dissension within the competing team, the organization will not intervene and the actual team is disqualified

- Any dispute concerning the interpretation of the current document or the general organization of the competition will be settled in accordance with the jury's due deliberation

- As far as the Institutional category is concerned, the web sites should have been designed by locals, and hosted in the country or abroad.




PRIZES

At the level of each participating country three works will receive a prize and the first thirty (in team or individually) will get a training program to improve their skills in web pages designing. Each team member counts for one participant to the training.

There will be 3 prizes, namely (total amount 1500 US $):

For this category, including the training, foreseen for the first thirty, should be added the "promotion" aspect Links on UNESCO web site, Promotion on the special web pages of the competition
