OBJECTIVES


The national level competition aims at:

  • enabling pupils and student to practice the design and the implementation of websites;
  • organizing a web competition in 5 RINAF member States:Angola, Côte d'Ivoire, Mozambique, Niger and Sudan;
  • building a strong base for the promotion of ITCs in the education sector, and in the other fields of UNESCO activities.
  • taking stock of the situation of local web sites in terms of contents and quality.

The project objective is to undertake, in close co-operation with African experts under the aegis of UNESCO, a selection of the best National Web sites in the areas of education, science, culture, public information and community development and to present them in an integrated Web site open to all.

To this end, 5 national evaluators will be nominated by RINAF local focal point. They will be specialists in the five areas of content identified above, as well as being experienced in Internet use and, if possible, in Web site development.
